Bulimba State School was opened on the 16 July 1866 in the Wesleyan Chapel which was rented at a nominal fee
pending the completion of the permanent school building towards which the local residents contributed liberally.
Bulimba State School today offers a broad curriculum including many innovative programs. The school provides
education for children from Preschool ( 4 & 5 year olds) to Year 7 (12 & 13 year olds).
The school is staffed by a Principal, Deputy Principal, 19 classroom teachers, 6 specialist teachers covering
LOTE, Physical Education, Classroom Music, Instrumental Music and Special Needs, 2 Administrative Officers, 6 Teacher
Aides and 3 cleaning and grounds staff.
